(DIS)connecting... research

Hello there, welcome to the the club website! Happy to have you.

How can we rehumanize being online today?

Many are trying to answer this question through the practice of crafting websites on the indie web. And so will we! Indie web culture makes the joining in easy. Noone expects polished or interactive designs. In fact, it is a part of the culture to make it clear that your personal website is homemade and changing as you learn.

Besides crafting websites, we will be disconnecting from Big Tech. This will be through experimenting with oldschool hardware Free/Libre/Open Source Software (FLOSS). This club will take place during the autumn semester. Sessions will be on the following dates:
October 10th, 14:15 to 16 - Indie Web @ ETHOS Lab
October 24th, 14:15 to 16 - The Web Revival @ ETHOS Lab
October 31st, 14:15 to 16 - Pidginization @ ETHOS Lab
November 7th, 14:15 to 16- Net.Art @ ETHOS Lab

Minigames: Cootie Catcher, Switch-to-Flip, Flip-to-Libre, Speed Drawing, Build-A-Website.

Let's go back to the future! Let's disconnect to connect!

Please fill out this survey to sign up for all sessions, or, if you can only drop in, please lmk via the guestbook below (rsvp 24 hours before session plz).
