(DIS)connecting... useful links

Welcome to the club website. Happy to have you here. Together we ask: how can we rehumanize being online today?

Many are trying to answer this question by crafting websites on the Indie Web, where webcrafters are facilitators of the communal. They create rich networks by linking to other sites. The Web Revival- an Indie Web social movement- brought on a new wave of critical webcrafters and popularized having Personal Site Manifestos. Political or not, surfing the Indie Web is visual, interactive proof of what could've been and perhaps an indicator of what is to come. And the bedroom artists and backyard activists behind many of the websites seem to be trying to compel us to join in on the fun.

We will be connecting to Indie Web communities and IRL communities. This of course includes the existing ETHOS Lab community, where all sessions will take place.

And, much like the netizens we will be allowing ourselves to be inspired by, we will be disconnecting from Big Tech. This will be through experimenting with flip phones, slowness, solar servers, books, libre software and more.

Let's go back to the future! Let's disconnect to connect!
